Not for me, but not all bad
"So I have 3C/4a hair, I usually use curl smith but I thought I’d give this a go. I would say the quantity is great. If you have long hair you won’t use half a tub in a day. But the product itself is very oily, it transfers when touching my hair and it’s heavy but the ends are still dry, even when opening the cuticle before applying. I know it’s black castor but it’s weighing down my curls too. The smell is a little bit of a hit and miss. My hair smells like carrot cake, some people might like that but I don’t want to smell like food. What I would say is, this as a leave in before doing a protective/ stretched style is not bad. The weight has allowed for easy plaits and cainrows. But having my hair out my hair looks like it needs to be washed. I think if the scent was different I would make this a regular for protective styles. I think it would also be great if the body shop could label which products are for which hair type, but in a more specific way. As this might be okay for a 4a/b/c potentially as there is lubrication and some weight. As a black woman it feels really good when a brand is able to understand our different hair types and subsequent needs. Unfortunately, this leave in. doesn’t work for me personally with my hair type."

"My hair is a mixture of everything - curly sections, straight sections, wavy, ringlets, and so so much frizz. I read the reviews and was really hoping this was the product to help tame my hair. I used the tiniest amount (based on a review I read) but when my hair dried it looked awful. The product just sat on my hair leaving it looking wet. I hoped by the next day it would magically give the results everyone was banging on about but I woke up to hair that looked like it had been dipped in oil. I dread to think how it would have looked if I'd put my usual amount of conditioner on. Have returned for a refund."
